Hello Beautiful People,

About two weeks ago, I was able to meet up with the cafe chat girls to discuss the new year and what plans we had for our future chats. We decided to change the name of our series due to the fact that we discuss many different topics, share stories and visit various places. So, the new name for our series is called Stories + Spaces. We want our chats to cover a range of topics that attract all of our readers.

Although it was a little past new years resolution time, we wanted to discuss a recap of our year and brainstorm ideas for the new year ahead. Paige invited us to her quaint little loft and we all enjoyed tea together. We also got to spend time with the beautiful Max, her golden retriever. Conversation started flowing and we all brought wonderful thoughts and ideas to the table. What is you #1 goal of 2017?

My number one goal for 2017 is to really seize all the opportunities that are presented to me, especially the ones related to my career. I will be entering my senior year at university this coming fall and that means real life is coming fast. Therefore, I want to really invest my time into many things this year in order to gain a perspective of where I truly want to be after I graduate.

Sum up 2016 in two words: Confidence and Change

I chose these two words because they represent the main things I took from 2016. When the year began, I was not confident in myself or my body. I walked around with a fake smile. As the year progressed and I found myself applying myself in new places, I began to grow as a person. My confidence began to build, and after I returned from France, I was truly confident in myself.

The word change is probably the most definitive of the year for me. Many things changed in my life during 2016, some good and some bad. Overall, I am happy with where the year took me and I feel as though I learned a lot.

What is an adventure you are dying to take this year?

This year I want to travel more; traveling inspires me and it fills my heart with happiness. Another adventure I want to take is interning in a different city, whether it be New York City or Los Angeles, I want to experience life in a big city. I know this is bound to be an adventure because I will be all on my own in a new place, but I am looking forward to new opportunities.
