Hello Lovely Humans,
Last week was pretty busy for me, hence why I was unable to post. However, like any of my posts, this crazy week inspired me to write this post for all of you.
When life gets busy, being productive can be hard. You kinda just want to take a nap, right!?
The added stress can make it difficult to be efficient. I know when I get overwhelmed with tasks and deadlines, I tend to be the most unproductive. I procrastinate and push things off. The best way for me to stay productive is to just start, but I have a few more tips that may be helpful. I want to share my five tips on how I get productive during a busy week.
Create a list
Right at the start of a busy week, I create a list of all of my to-do’s. Starting with the most important tasks and working my way down. This list helps throughout the week too because I am able to check off each thing as I complete it, which is satisfying. It keeps me on track and productive with my time.
Wake up early
I know waking up early may not be for everyone, but it is one of the best ways to make the most of your time. Last week, I woke up between 6:30 and 7 am, which left me with a lot of time to get stuff completed. It made the days seem longer and I did not have to “cram” as much. I also had time to eat breakfast and grab my morning coffee before getting started on my daily tasks.
Prioritize
Prioritize everything! When making your list, decide what is at the top of the list for completion. Prioritize sleep time and rest time, you cannot over work your brain or you will not be productive. It’s okay to prioritize your health and yourself, it will make you most productive in the long run.
Listen to music
While I am working on homework or emails, I like to listen to music because it avoids outside distraction. It also calms my mind and allows me to focus in on my work. I usually pick a fairly mellow playlist rather than pop music because that can be distracting. Music tunes out the world and allows me to really make progress on my work.
Just do it!
My last tid bit of advice for you is to just do it! By simply starting on your to-do list, you will be able to accomplish more than you think. The hardest step is the doing, we have all these tasks at hand yet we haven’t started them. That’s why the best way to accomplish them is to just start with something. Some people say start with the big things, but I think sometimes clearing out the little tasks can help productivity too. Just do one thing on your list and the rest will begin to flow.
These are just my tips on being productive during a busy week. I’m sorry for the small post and lack of content lately, but I have been so busy and I am currently sick. So, I am working on feeling better and hopefully bringing you lots more posts in the coming weeks.
I will be on vacation this weekend, which means this will be my only post for this week. I’ll share some vacation pictures on my Instagram, be sure to follow @blogger_alyssa for those.
